Pavers are a natural fit around a pool: quality paver products are manufactured with textured, slip-resistant surfaces (unlike smooth-troweled concrete), they run cooler underfoot in direct sun than dark concrete or stamped concrete, and if a section ever settles or gets damaged, individual pavers can be lifted and reset without replacing the whole deck.

Pool patios have a few requirements beyond a standard patio. We grade the surface to drain water away from the pool coping rather than back toward it, use paver products rated for pool-side use, and pay close attention to the transition and clearance at the pool coping itself.
